What to do right after a VPS is created
- Set SSH key auth and disable password logins.
- Configure the firewall (ufw/nftables) to allow only needed ports.
- Install unattended security updates.
- Create a non-root deploy user.
- Schedule off-server backups.
A poorly kept VPS is less secure than a shared plan. If you skip these steps, put a managed plan in front instead.

Is Hostinger VPS managed?
No. It is unmanaged KVM: you get root and a panel with templates, snapshots and OS reinstall, but security, updates and backups are your job. If you want managed, use Cloud hosting instead.
Does Hostinger offer Windows VPS?
